Kristin Palm
Kristin Palm is a Principal with Creative Ecology, joining co-founders Hiroko Kikuchi and Jeremy Liu in 2011. She has more than 20 years of experience in communication, journalism, grantwriting and fundraising, and program design and management, with a focus on the arts and arts education, and urban and community planning. She ahs written for such publications as Metropolis, Planning, Crain’s Detroit Business and the Detroit Metro Times. She has also conducted writing, policy and research projects for the Detroit Transportation Company, the Trust for Public Land, the Detroit Housing Authority, the Hill Community Development Corporation (Pittsburgh, PA), the History Channel and numerous other clients.
Kristin also teaches writing to youth in the Bay Area. Her own book of poetry, The Straits, traces personal and shared histories of Detroit, her much beloved former hometown. Kristin holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Mills College and a Master of Urban Planning from Wayne State University.
